Georgia Help!

Where do you live? I spent 4 years as an LPN on a med-surg unit while I finished my RN with EC (which I just passed my NCLEX last week). I live in a different state now, but I know there are hospitals in Georgia outside of Atlanta that will hire LPNs on med-surg units, so maybe you could get hired at one and work under your existing LPN license as you precept for your Georgia RN licensure. I bet a hospital would go for that. Might be worth a try.

Yes, just do the clinical hours and you will have your license. I was in the same boat as Gemini79. I had to do 500 hours and my hospital let me do my clinical hours there. I will be done on monday!! Thank God. Consider working at a hospital and talk to them about doing the clinical hours.

Oh yeah, P.S. - Don't forget, the BON tried to have us all banned. I'm not sure I'd call them for any help as they probably aren't going to go out of their way to assist you, if you know what I mean.
