the RTs would have to practice in another state for a full year then get endorsement. That's how I read it. Could be wrong though.

I think you're right. But yeah, I meant for direct licensure. Even so, they can still deny non-LPNs until they've done a preceptorship.

I should call the VA BON and invite one of them to come with me in Sept to my CPNE.

That's one option working in another state for a full year but the other option for RT's is to just do clinical hours...around 500 for most I'm told. Which still sucks but those are the options right now.

you can only get the clinical hours if your application was at the board before they changed the law. If did not you will have to work out of state for a year.

K. so I meet all of the requirement stipulated in hb475 and I'm still asked to do the 350 precepted hours. has anyone started the preceptorship? I'm being denied hospital by hospital.

I started my preceptorship the beginning of august. I am doing at dekalb medical and ga regional. I work at both facilities. And I am going to middle ga medical center for my peds and obgyn. Call Gwen Dobson at the boardand she if she knows of any facilities. I am a RT and I have to do 500 hours.

That statement was for RT students who are now excluded in the law.
