i got my paramedic license and worked for about 3-4 months as a medic. passed the cpne, went to work in long term care. heh. had never even done a medpass

went through a bit of hell at first, lots of lpn's angry that i was an rn and not adept at basic tasks. that's long been water under the bridge. i'm still doing prn at that same nursing home and working medsurge/oncology at a magnet hospital.
i work a lot, since it's my personality. this year, i'm on track to make about 110k. it's nothing magic, just agressively picking up shifts, etc. helps a lot being a guy. my back doesn't bother me, my feet don't bother me.
i never would have been able to do this without ec. it was a great stepping stone in my life along the way to an mba/rn/cpa = future ceo of a healthcare company
