Hi miniaday,
The cheapest route to go is ISU LPN-BSN online program. If time is your delema, then I would just go to Excelsior. The others are advertising companies that sell you a curicullum to study and pass Excelsior's exams. Cut out the middle man and just go straight to Excelsior.
I am waiting out a year at ISU because I found that I could possible finish the classes at Excelsior in 7 months if I was to take a class a month. However, I am going back to ISU to bridge to BSN when I am done at Excelsior. I am currently ranked as a 1st semester senior at ISU from previous studies.
Write back if more info is needed.

Actually GA reversed their decision and now just have some additional requirements. Also CA allows endorsement of Excelsior grads on a case by case basis, depending on experience as an RN in another state (Ironic to say the least from a state that allows CNA's to challenge to become LPN's but whatever) Excelsior is very good about listing each states additional requirements if any, you can also read the whole GA decision on their BON site. I haven't decided whether to go with Excelsior, quite frankly the CPNE scares the bejeebies out of me! But then again, I am kinda a wuss! LOL

I am from Alabama and I want to start with them but can't get anyone from the Board of Nursing to tell me if they will let me sit for the NCLEX-RN when I am done. Does anyone know if Alabama allows this program???

Thread moved to the Distance Learning forum, as that is where you'll find most of the current/past EC students.

I finished my LPN in July 2008 and Wednesday this week I am taking my last test for Lifespan 2. I loved the excelsior program. I already have a job as an ER nurse and I have an RN position when I finish. I would recomend this program to anyone who is self motivated. I have 5 boys and going back to school would be impossible for me.
