CPNE changes

by drawtj

Has anyone taken the CPNE since 10/1 when the changes were implemented?? I am scheduled this weekend at Gwinnett MC in Georgia and am wondering about them--especially the wound packing.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks
drawtj

Best of luck this weekend.

Well, of course I've done that!--I'd like the thoughts of someone who who actually tested on it.

I guess I have been living under a rock. What "changes" were implemented?

opalm, i think it's posted on the ec website (or at least it was before) but their is some changes in the pcs evaluation portion of the form and some other little stuff-but in the labs there are 2 changes. one is that you no longer aspirate before flushing iv's and the other is that you no longer do a dressing change but now have to pack a wound. the new 11th edition study guide is suppose to have all this info and it will be sent to you when you are eligible.
