cost of attending EC??

HI everyone.

I have applied to EC and am awaiting an e-mail from them on what to do next. Once you are "accepted" how do you know what class to register for? I am also wondering if there are any payment plans, it seems like a lot up front for enrollment fees. How do the payments work? I did look online at the website, but it seems confusing.
This is the only way I can go from LPN to RN. My husband works crazy hours and I have 2 school aged kids, I am also working part time at a VNA so I can't imagine sitting in class!!

Congrats to all who have done this program!!! Any advice you have would be helpful!!!

They will work out payment plans online.

Right now, you don't take anything until they tell you what to take. They are excellent about accepting your old stuff, so avoid wasting your money.

I would start by taking the first nursing class. You are an LPN so you won't need the second.

And good luck! Excelsior sure worked for me.

The enrollement fee can be put on a payment plan of up to 5 payments.($153 month)

There really is no payment plan for the exams. You can put them on a payment plan(sorta like layaway) but they wont let you take them until they are are paid for.

The CPNE can be broken into payments. I think you pay $600 upfront and $256 per month for 6 months. If you get a date before your six months then you have to pay it all in full a month before your go to the site.

Hi I am also looking into starting EC in January, but the enrollment fee looked daunting. You said there is a payment plan...Do you have to comepletely have the enrollment fee paid off before you can continue taking courses? Just wondering how this works.

I am in the payment plan for all the exams which includes the enrollment fee, exams, practice exams, FCCA, and graduation fees. I'm not 100% but I think they just stopped offereing this. Maybe they replaced it with something else? It was $1500 for the first year and then $1400 for the second year (if you finish all the exams in one year you don't have to pay for the second year). The only thing not included was the CPNE which is around $2000.
