Chamberlain- ADN or BSN

I graduate in May with a bachelors in Health Studies from Michigan State. But my dream career is to become a nurse so I recently have been doing some research and came across Chamberlain. So I want to know how their admissions process is. Is it really hard to get into? And I also see that the ACT score is a factor in the admissions process. Does anyone know if the ACT is required, cause I never took it. I went to a community college first for a year then transferred and test scores arent needed to go to community colleges. I just want to know about the competitiveness because it was pretty much impossible for me to get accepted at MSU to the nursing school. Every year over 4,000 people apply and they only accept 60 , so yeah thats like extreme competitiveness. Im looking at the ADN online program

My current GPA is 3.37 but I hope to bring it up before graduation. Oh and how soon should I apply to start next fall?

(I have 2 kids too so how are the prices of housing in the area)

*I know I have a lot of questions and that my thoughts are all over the place, but I need one more piece of advice. Since I have 2 kids and am a single parent would it be better for me to just get the ADN first and then get my BSN through a completely online program? Or would it be better to just spend more time getting the BSN and just getting it out the way?

Hi starmicky03,

If I were you I would call them and ask all those questions. Chamberlain is VERY helpful and will help you decide which route to go. They will also get your transcripts to see what credits are accepted before you decide to go to school. You have to pay for the process but thats it.

Call them, you won't regret it. They won't bother you 3xs a day 24/7 either.
