Nurses COVID

Published

The first travel-related death of Ebola in the United States has occurred in Dallas. With Ebola affecting those around the world, and threatening the health of hundreds of thousands including those in our own country, it is critical that all members of health care teams have appropriate knowledge, training, and personal protective equipment to effectively and safely provide care to patients, without unnecessary unprotected exposure to themselves, their colleagues, and others.

Have you received the training necessary to assess and safely care for Ebola patients in your hospital? Do you feel prepared?

Please take this survey so we can see how our members from around the globe feel regarding the level of preparedness to fight this massive threat to the public health.

After taking the survey, please tell us what preparations and precautions your hospital or healthcare facility is taking.

I think the hospital where I work (and do my clinicals) is going to be adequately prepared.

It also helps to work in Infection Prevention (old name Infection control) because I get to hear what the CDC, State, LA County and LA City have to say on the matter - directly from the mouths of the bureaucratic horse...

I am curious what the results will reveal. Will they be posted on AN after the survey is closed?

I've watched the vids from Africa and then see pics of what our nurses wear and we are not doing it right. IMHO. This is scary.
