the two big ones- transfering within the company to a new state

For anyone that works for one of the two big companies: Have any of you ever moved to new state and transferred within the company? How long did you work in the company before you transferred? Was it a fairly easy transition? Was your supervisor understanding/ helpful?

It would depend on whether there were positions in your new area. If you are moving would it matter how long you were employed? If you are detemined to move your old supervisior shouldn't get in the way. Doesn't mean he/she won't. I believe there are so many opening in HD now that you shouldn't have much problem transferring. But don't burn your bridges. You might move back.

Transferred within the company from Tennessee to Alabama. Fairly easy transition. Beware rates of pay vary from state to state (even within the company).
