New Nurse

  1. 0 Hey everyone!! I'm a new grad and passed the NCLEX about 2 weeks age. Since Feb I have been working at a ~600 bed hospital as a 'Nurse Tech' -- I worked with a nurse doing assessment, charting, etc (no meds) just getting great experience. When I started in Feb I was working on the Renal Transplant Floor, I loved it and am still working there now. We do about 3 living donor transplants and sometimes 1-2 cadaver transplants a month. We also have MANY dialysis patients in with hyperK, infected/replacing grafts and lines, along with renal patients we are the "overflow" floor getting some med-surg patients. It is a wonderful experience and I learn something new everyday.
