I know that in Indiana they pay at least $12.00/hr for dialysis techs. I would say it is at least $22.00/hr for nurses. I am a former dialysis tech and I loved it! I only quit because we moved.

It varies A LOT by region, so it does make a difference.
Bumping the post. Thanks in advance for any replies. I'm not concerned about the region, I just wanted a ball park figure. I know the pay varies by region, but if you have an idea, please share it!Thanks!!

Rates from state to state can range from $10-$20 per hour difference, so regions would make a difference to determine amounts.
Also, pay rates between chronic HD nurses and acute HD nurses differ.

I'll echo what others have said.
Impossible to give you a "ballpark" figure.
Too many variables not only by region but by employer, individual experience, and work setting/expertise.

How is this: RN, no HD experience, chronic clinic setting, rural TX $26.00/hr.
In the Northeast, my nurses are making $36 - $38+/hr. See there is a major difference in regions of the United States.
Thanks Tish88!

New grad, northwest, acute/chronic, $23/hour. Hope this helps!
