CNN/CDN study advice?

Hi folks. I have been working in outpatient hemodialysis for nearly 3 years and believe I am ready to take that next step and work toward certification. I don't doubt ANNA has ideas, but from those who have gotten these credentials, could you please point me in the right direction to study for this rigorous test? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mometrix CDN study guide. $50 on amazon. You could look at the core curriculum for nephrology nurses, but it's very large and overwhelming I thought.

I believe that ANNA has changed their requirements recently. Outpatient nurses can usually just go for the CDN, unless you do varying other treatments besides HD.

Here's the link- it's not effective until January 1, 2015. But it states 25% of work must be in something other then outpatient HD to be eligible for CNN. If you work fast, might be grandfathered in? But I have my CDN and it serves me well as an acute nurse.

THANK YOU For the replies. Good to know about the CNN. I don't know how ready I would be to test/and grandfathered in, (if that is even an option). In my mind, a CNN really SHOULD apply to nurses doing other dialysis work than only outpatient hemo. It's so much broader. I am happy to get my CDN and go from there. I will be going back to school to further my education (goal an MSN), so I am willing to go for CDN, then go to school, and move on from there. Again, good information here and I am glad I asked. Thank you.
