Does anyone have any tips for how to teach a person with visual impairment how to use a blood glucose meter? The most difficult part seems to be getting the drop of blood onto the strip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Accu-check Voicemate is at least one meter on the market that talks to the patient and is easier to to use for visually impaired. I would look for voice activated meters. Otherwise, the patient will have to learn how far from the edge the specimen has to be. Not easy.

Prodigy also makes a "talking" meter. Apparently, the Accucheck VoiceMate is out of production. I've posted a link to the National Federation for the Blind here for you:
Hope that helps.
