  1. 0 I am a new clinic nurse working in a clinic at a workshop for DD clients. I was wondering if any of you can tell me your thoughts on this . are unlicensed staff allowed to switch a individual from tank to concentrator? the staff have been given conflicting answers in the past on this issue. Thanks. any other clinic advise greatly appreciated!! This is all new to me but loving it!!!

I would say yes. When I worked LTC it was never an issue. However....you need your own policy for your workplace. I would talk to your manager and get a firm answer

If there is proper documented training, then yes, absolutely. Many staff may accompany someone on a trip or an outing and need to know how to make the switch. However, there needs to be some training and education first.
