How do I get a job as a Learning Disability Nurse in USA?

Hi,

I am a Learning Disability Nurse working in the UK. I want to work in America and wondered if anyone has any ideas of where I could work. I currently work in a medium secure unit with people with learning disabilities that have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983. I understand from what I have read of this forum that it is called Developmental disability nursing. Does anybody have any information, links to sites I could visit?

Kim

Default jobs in NY
There are many agencies in New York City that work with this population both adults and children. You would have to be registered here. Go on the internet and review such agencies as United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCP), Services for the Underserved (SUS), AHRC, YAI, ARC, just to name a few.
