DTCC nursing students!!

Hello nursing students!! I am wondering if there are any DTCC prospective nursing students here? I am applying in August to Stanton's program! Anyone else? If so, how are you doing on your ranking sheet with points? And have you taken the NLN yet? I'd like to talk about scores and this new HLH 130 course!!!

Or if anyone is currently in or previously had clinicals at DTCC please share your experience and give any tips!!!

Yes it is the brown box on the admissions desk. No further docs are needed until they send you the awesome acceptance letter. You will then need to submit an acceptance folder with a copy of your CPR card, immunizations, high school transcript [again:facepalm:], drug test, background check, physical exam and another application to clinicals.

But until the acceptance letter comes, we are fine

I did think it was strange that the "application" was a simple demographics page :down:

i have 25 points, but if thats really the minimum it may be cuttin it close. but im prayin that i get in, i really need this. The application was very simple, i wanted to put mine in someones hand lol. how many points do u have?I really want to know the minimum points that got in last year I think we will find out if were accepted or not,not long after the 15th to register for HLH

Thats just my opinion but Im assuming since not a lot of people do the co-reqs (Sociology, Psych, etc) that 25 would be a reasonable cut-off point. You will be fine, IMO. They know by when they will send out letters so from their reactions when I asked, I think it will be before Sept 15th.

I dont think I know anyone that applied last year as I didnt apply because they lost my high school transcript and didnt tell me until it was all late and wrong. I went to High school in JA so you can imagine how difficult it was to have it evaluated and sent up. Also, Im a new-change of major BSN @ UD so that was the only place I ended up applying to because of the transcript episode.

I have 29 points. My advisor is not sure if they will give me the points for exemption from RDG120 since I didnt have to take it or just the 1pt.

thats reaaly good you should have no problem getting in. Just let me know when u get that acceptance letter, so i can know mines should be comming soon after :) (fingers crossed)

lol I hope we get in; they lost my high school transcript last year so I couldnt apply before :madface:

Only problem is I got into UD as a transfer (which NEVER happens) but in doing that while I got my H.S. transcript from JA, has created a slight problem. Ya see, letters should be mailed out by Sept 15th but I only have until Sept 10th to drop my classes at UD without penalty... sucks

if the classes are needed for your BN you should not drop them just go ahead and take them since you will need them one day anyway. But im guessing youve taken all the classes need for your associates degree, but even though your definitely getting into this program dont put all your eggs in one basket. I already ordered my highschool transcripts to be sent to me lol (im claiming my acceptance letter already) i dont want anything last minute

Problem is these classes are core BSN classes and wont count towards a RN-BSN curriculum... We are getting in

I'm so nervous ! But I was wondering what if you don't get accepted..will they let you know or do u have to guess that you just didn't get in ?

they will sent out letters if you are accepted and if you are not. This is a updated message that is on del techs website

Below is some information that may help with planning and understanding the ranking process for the Nursing Program.

• Applications to the Nursing Program are being accepted from 8/1/13 through 8/15/13

• The Ranking process will occur from 8/19/13 through 9/13/13 -- When the ranking process is complete, letters will be sent to both eligible and non-eligible candidates

Eligible candidates ,Tahoma],Tahoma]MUST complete a Nursing Folder and return, as directed in mailing, by 10/10/13

,Tahoma],Tahoma]• A mandatory meeting for

eligible candidates,Tahoma],Tahoma], who have not yet enrolled in or completed HLH 130 will be held on Tuesday, 9/17/13, at 5pm – 7pm OR ,Tahoma],Tahoma]on Wednesday, 9/18/13, from 10 am to 12 noon. All paperwork for clinical requirements for HLH 130 will be distributed and explained at these meetings

So im guessing we will have to wait until september to know if we ranked or not (thats torture). Or hopefully they will start sending letters out on Monday i'm a little confused.

All letters are sent out simultaneously so u will know ur decision
