Kent and Sussex Counties-hospitals prefer BSN??

Have you heard that more and more hospitals in Central and Southern DE are looking for BSN's rather than ADN's?

I hope this is not true!! I have spent way too much money on my prereq classes and am now in the clinical portion of a ADN program. That concerns me that I may not be able to find a job when I graduate.

Lots of new grads aren't finding jobs (even those who spent 100K on a BSN at UD, or 200K at Wesley)

On paper if they have a new grad ADN vs. BSN they will want the BSN. Philadelphia Hospitals only hire BSN and the trend seems to be moving outward.

Get experience. Be a tech/cna/pt care aid. Those are the people getting jobs at the moment(the ones the hospital does not have to spend as much training)- regardless of ADN or BSN

Also look into accelerated ADN-BSN programs that you may be able to matriculate into immediately upon graduation from your ADN.

Good luck
