Christiana Care Internships for new Grads

I know this is a late message but did anyone apply to the internship at Christiana that is scheduled to start in Feb. 2010???

Just wondering because I applied to the NICU internship there and that deadline is tomorrow, so I am getting really nervous now that they will be reviewing the applications soon. I know that I only have a slim to nothing chance, but I am hoping that I might just might be called for an interview. I only have my ASN, gpa is only 3.32, experience as a nurse extern on a step down unit, experience as a CNA on a step down unit, RN at a local fitness center doing assessments and such, and a substitute school nurse and substitute teacher for time being.

I really hope that someone else has applied and maybe we could communicate about our nerves, chances, and experiences. Has anyone got one of these internships seems almost unheard of, and that of couse scares me, but what do I got to lose.

Yes, I applied to the Critical Care Internship and its deadline was 10/30. The post went up on 10/15 and I hd already hd my recomm prepared way ahead of time so I was able to send all my info 10/17. Anyway, think positive and good luck!

Goodluck, I wonder how long it usually takes for them to pick who they want to interview? They are interviewing in November so hopefully soon, and I hope they get back to those who were no chosen also so we would knwo that as well.

Hi everyone! I have an upcoming interview for the ED internship for Feb 2010. This will be my first interview so I am kind of nervous. Does anyone know what the interview is like? What questions are asked? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got a call yesterday about the interview. This is the ED in Newark. Last I check, they are still accepting applications for the one in Wilmington.

Well goodluck I applied to the NICU internship in Newark and haven't heard anything there phone system is a paiin to actually get connected to a real person or maybe its just me.

keep us posted, I would love to hear that you got it, then I would know it really is possible!

hey I finally got an email back from the nurse recruiter at Christiana Care about the NICU internship program starting in February. It said that they had 181 applications for this position and it will take a few more weeks to figure out who they would like to interview and we will be e-mailed if we are not chosen to interview.

So I am hoping that I get called for an interview, but will not hold breathe with there being 181 applications for the few positions they probably have available. But just in case other's were wondering this is what I was told today!...Goodluck everyone!.....hopefully we will all find something soon enough we just need to keep trying and stay as positive as possible!

Wow! 181 applicants! But that's the story of new graduate positions today. *crossing fingers*
