Trauma entry exam

  1. 0 Hello my fellow nurses!

I just had an interview at a level I trauma center. I think I did okay, but anyway the HR coordinator scheduled me to come take a trauma and pharmacology exam. She said as long as I passed, she would contact the unit manager and set up a second interview. I graduated in May 2013 and have been working on a cardiac/tele unit ever since. I am not too worried about the pharmacology, mainly the trauma exam. I am not sure what it even entails. Has anyone been required to take this type of exam? Any suggestions of books or websites that may be helpful? I am lost and this is my dream job.

Thank you all so much in advance.

Not sure what would be on the test, but the TNCC A-I assessment would probably be a good place to start. I tried searching for a website that documented it well, but wasn't able to find anything.

There is a thread on the assessment here

Maybe try searching youtube for tncc assessment?

    Good luck!
