Default Re: forced float to er
I work in a very small hospital with a 4 bed ICU. We regularly get floated to the ER or the floor when there are no patients in the unit. I too feel it is unsafe, especially when the ER wants to use us as regular staff. They are only concerned with having a warm body.
And sometimes they (the powers that be) will float a nurse to another area and call in agency to fill that nurse's position.
