Do you know how many women are writing Charlie Manson....he still has a BIG following and that happened 40 years ago. We have an inmate in our system that has many many women writing him and he not only murdered women but the ones that he raped also got a "dose" from him.

I see how these men are, I have watched some nurse friends of mine get involved with an inmate and it was the worst thing that they can ever do...they ended up poor, with no job and all alone and the inmate is after another woman after he takes all from you.

In my job, if I was writing to an inmate I would lose my retirement and my job and there is not an inmate in this whole state system that I would be willing to give all that away for. BTW this state doesn't have congecal (sp) visits for our inmates.

It angers me beyond belief the women that go after the rapists and murderers. There is no way in hell i could even think about liking a man that rapes and murders people. And i'm not a psychiatrist, but the women that follow these men are just as sick as the men IMO.

It REALLY angers me that these prisoners are allowed any contact with the outside world. Their VICTIMS aren't afforded this, thanks to the criminals, WHY should the criminal be allow this luxury.

Well get this Marie....in California an inmate that was in for life wanted his sperm sent out to his wife so that she could have his child...and since he was in for life they let them do that cause he has a right to procreate even in prison. I was just blown away with that little bit of information, my god he is a murderer..!!!!:imbar

I would have hated to be the one that had to carry the cup and bag containing that.

Oh, gee, darn, i dropped it and it went all over the floor, y'all......

I believe that whatever rights you took away from your victims, should be the rights that you're denied in prison. Sounds inhumane? Tough ****, obey the law and none of this wouldn't even be an issue.

i personally wouldn't HAVE a prison pen pal. In my admittedly judgemental opinion, if these women carry on relationships with these rapists and murderers and other violent felons, they are as sick as the prisoner is. If these people get out of prison and then wreak havoc on these women, the women have NO cause for complaint because they invited this type of crap into their lives. I sincerely hope these women do not have children watching this go on. How would you like to be the daughter of the woman who is relentlessly pursueing a relationship with Scott Peterson? No amount of therapy in the world...

Sometimes, for your own safety, you have to be judgmental.

I'd rather be paranoid of some roaming-free rapist, than to give him the benefit of the doubt, and find out i was wrong for doing that.

I've been a pen pal to a prisoner once before. Being that I am gay, this person in prison is also gay. At the end of the day it is not a good idea to have a relationship with convicts/ex-convicts. I've been there and done that. Being in prison is a very lonely place and any attention from the outside is big deal. Convicts would do anything to woo anyone to write to them and keep writing to them. It is fine to write each other but to develop into some sort of a relationship is not a good idea. My last advice never send money!

Yep, that's who I would choose for the father of my child. A bleepin murderer. Talk about being born paying for the sins of your parents!

Then if the mother gets pregnant she can probably get on welfare too! So not only are we "supporting" jail bird daddy, but his love child too? I live in California and I tell you....some of the political stuff here is such a joke! It's like they pay someone to come up with things like this just to make our state look like a bunch of morons.
