Wexford, time of application to time of start date

I've done some reading on this site about Wexford. Has everyone had the experience of a long time from application to actual start date? Some people were saying about 6 weeks. I live in Chicagoland area and am very excited about applying to work corrections. My heart sank when I heard someone say it could take a long time though.
