State or Agency

Just out of curiosity...... I have been finishing up my orientation at a prison in KY. The medical staffing for the prisons in this area are done through basically an agency that only staffs in corrections. I believe nurses used to be hired by the state for corrections. I didn't mind so much until yesterday. We are required to go through the first week of CO academy. A few banks and credit unions came through and extending their "exclusive invites" and "wonderful discounts" to the State employees; that of course excluded all of us sitting there in scrubs. I found that kind of annoying, esp. considering the agency only staffs state run corrections facilities (at least to my knowledge). Any other states going this route?
