Are they really bad? Or is it nurses don't care to work there. I have worked corrections before and found it to be better than working hospitals. I know this sounds kind of general, but if you have any opinions or knowledge regarding these prisons, I would appreciate hearing about it.

- Dec 28, '05 by snowglobe2006I have worked in Corrections for over ten yrs.(I'm female and not too ugly). There should always be a Guard of Deputy present,if needed. Just
remember to ALWAYS keep your distance. You are the Nurse they are
the INMATES-you are not friends. They will try a variety of things to establish a relationship, so just be aware of the tricks. The nurses that have been there awhile can help and there is a book (Games Criminals
Play) that is helpful. The pay is usually very good as are the benefits,
but the autonom is wonderful. Good Luck
- Dec 28, '05 by ZZTopRNThanks snowglobe. I had worked for corrections in the past for agencies but that was about 12 years ago. Just wondered how much they had changed. But it still seems like the same old try to manipulate the nurse game. Thanks for the title of the book. I look forward to go to Barnes and Noble and looking for it.
