    Hello, I am currently a nursing student who is very interesting in working for the federal prison system upon graduation. Would a federal prison allow a student to come and shadow to see what it is all about? It is one thing to talk with nurses on the board about it but I feel like to REALLY know what it is like I need to have a visual.

    It would be up to the nurse manager or nurse supervisor at a particular prison, so make a few phone calls and see what you can come up with. Most likely a tour could be arranged.
