New to So Ca LVN Correctional Nursing..Tips/Suggestions?

I am an LVN with 18 years experience and I have received an offer of employement from the Dept. of Corrections.
I am interested and grateful for any suggestions or tips from other LVNs/LPNs who are currently/previously worked in this enviroment. The application/interview process was straightforward,but lengthy. I am curious as to what the "uniform" consists of,pay, sign-on bonuses,work enviroment,shift times,OT, and current furlogh program...thanks in advance!
