KOP meds in Oklahoma prison

What kind of drugs would be considered KOP (for an inmate) drugs in Ok? Would those include "mood elevators"?

Would they be allowed to be taken into the visiting room and taken there while talking to a visitor - without asking a guard...just popping them quickly in your mouth and swallowing?

I sincerely would like some knowledgeable answers about this.

Thank you...

Our KOPs consist of B/P meds, inhalers, aspirin, motrin, antibiotics, saline nasal spray, eye drops, vitamins, thyroid meds. No psych drugs are given KOP, not at our facility. The KOPs are to be kept in the cell, not to be carried around in your pockets. The inmates must come to pill call for their psych drugs and narcotic pain pills.

I concur...it's done the same way at my facility in Miami.

Good afternoon all. New user here, soon to graduate LPN school. I will be doing some preceptorship in a correctional facility. So I'm seeking any information I can get before going in. What exactly does KOP stand for?

Thank you all in advance and I look forward to seeing your responses.
