Do you think it will be good for the safety of nurses working in corrections to take self-defense? Will it really prepare you for any inmate attacks?

It helped a friend of mine break free from an offender that pushed her onto a room and held her arms cause he "Just wanted a kiss..."

The mandated self-defense course was provided. It was pretty intense- a lot more intense than the self-defense I was taught on the street. The nurses take the same self-defense course that the officers do.
