ca-mrsa

  1. returning to my facility for prn after a few years of being out, I am slightly astounded that the attitude towards ca mrsa seems very casual in spite of several cases at the facility. I'm wondering if other facilities are taking a more aggresive approach toward infection control and if so what? What patient education is done, what environmental controls? Doesn the NCCHC have any stand on it?

I work in a Federal prison and we too have cases of MRSA and they are very casual about it too. Little to no infection control.

yeah, things like that do bother me.
like with TB meds, these guys don't really take the meds on schedule or in completion.
so this is of course making resistant TB.
