Does anyone know if there are any correctional nurse positions that offer a flexible work schedule? I'm looking for anything less than 5 days a week and am open to relocation. Thanks!
I just got hired on by Correct Care Solutions at their Nashville location. I know that they staff correctional facilities all over, so they may be something to look into. They operate on twelve hour shifts.
Nurses in Nevada DOC typically work 12-hour shifts.
I really appreciate the feedback, Nevada has actually been on the top of my list!
I currently work for CCS in Tecumseh Nebraska, max/death row Correctional facility. However, CCS is exiting their contract and the medical unit will now be managed by the state. You can work 12s or 8s. The state is currently hiring staff days and nights, LPNs and RNs. Midwest living, great for raising families, and you are close to Omaha which is large and Lincoln which is a little smaller but has a great feel, it's a college town.
I have been a staff RN there for about 1 1/2 years.
