    So I went to register for nursing classes today at NCC. I was so excited! The professor who will be teaching the fundamentals course was an absolute doll...And then I went downstairs to records...talk about taking the wind outta ya sails!! The guy in the records office was...eh! The chick in the business office was...eh! But the dude in financial aid!?? By the time I was done with his none to eloquent speech on me not having the proper documentation to qualify for financial aid, I felt as if I was a piece of bottom-of-the-pond scum, that had crawled out of the lagoon, and had the gall to apply for classes at his school! I had to drag myself back to the business office to be advised that I couldn't register for the nursing classes that I've waited TWO years to register for, unless I came up with a substantial deposit! Which ofcourse I don't have!! I'm just SO down right now!*wine My question is...WHY DEY GOTTA BE SO MEAN???????

    All my Co's are done after this semester, only nursing courses from here on out ... Thanks for all the replies!

    I would ask to speak with someone else in the financial aid dept. Did he even tell you what documentation you need?? I don't understand why the most unhelpful, rude people decide it's a great career move to work with the public. You are a customer and there is no reason anyone should be giving you crap. I would try again with financial aid. Don't give up!! You've come to far!

    Thanks, JosieD. I know...it's amazing how rude he was, and he didn't even know me! To make it worse, he was talking about me to the other people in the department, as I was walking out. It felt like the longest walk, bcuz I knew he meant me. At least he had the decency to stop talking when he spotted me! I was in tears by the time I got to my car. I had been waiting for the thrill of registering for my first nursing course for ages, and he made me feel worthless. I know that sounds extreme, but this has been my dream; this is my life! And some person I'd never met before had the ability to make me feel like a nobody. I did speak with someone else at the school, and she was nice, and told me what I had to do, and I'm all set now. It was something so easy! All of that drama for just a straight forward process. I'm back on track, and I can't wait for classes to start in August. I've earned it! And I ain't going nowhere!!!!!
