My friend applied after me in august and yet she got her acceptance email like 2 weeks ago, at this point, not to be negative but I think that my chance of getting in is nada. Guess I will have to look for other options. Too bad Uconn was my only option at the time and i had really high hope of getting in since my grades were really good (mixture of A- and A).

And I believe that Storrs has already been filled up since my friend didn't get accepted to Storrs but to another campus. I do wish that they would just tell people if they get rejected or not so people can just move on. But unfortunately, they keep dragging it, playing the cat and mousse game. I paid $75 for the fee, the least they could do is let me know so I can stop stressing out about my "unofficial rejection"

I completely agree. It is getting ridiculous waiting and waiting. I just want to know either way, so I can move forward. It feels like they are holding my life hostage right now.

Did your friend apply to Storrs as first choice? Which campus did they get accepted to? I think that Avery Point and Stamford students heard earlier because those campuses have open spots. But it seems like Storrs and Waterbury have excessive applications, and some people will have to be waitlisted there. I can tell you that as long as you meet the requirements for this program you will definitely be accepted. It is just a matter of it being 2014 or 2015.

My friend's first choice was Storrs. And Waterbury was her second choice so they put her in the Waterbury campus. I applied for Waterbury as my first choice and Stamford as my second choice but I guess I didn't get into neither. It would be nice if I could attend the 2014 class though. Since I turned down an internship oversea and decided to took classes for this program :(, and I feel like now I have to start all over again and look for a job to fill the gap. And unfortunately, it is not easy to find a job nowadays.

I am looking at some other programs in CT as well. But I feel so bad asking my references for letter of recommendation again, especially each school seems to have a different form for the references to fill out...

I would also be very disappointed to have to wait another year. Hopefully we find out very soon. I was anxious and excited to hear up until about a week ago, but now I'm just numb to any anxiety and just want an answer either way.

I feel the same way - like my life has been taken hostage. I can't move on with it until I hear this and know my next steps. I actually applied to Stamford as first choice and - nada. I have strong creds but still finishing two pre-reqs, so considering all that and the fact that I have not heard back yet, I am preparing myself that they will defer me to 2015 and/or waitlist. Although still hoping for a miracle:) I just want to know already.

I have applied to 3 more schools but this is first choice right now.

I hear you moana005, my references already had to send their letters to 3 schools in 3 different formats. And, considering how this is going, will probably have to send to one more in Nov.

I asked them to save whatever they wrote for the first one, so, they can hopefully just copy/paste every time thereafter. Other questions on references are usually pretty easy and few, so again hoping it isn't too painful for them. Owe them big time.

Yes it's a little ridiculous that some people heard 3 weeks ago!!! I understand they have more applications than they thought they would, but I'm not sure why it should take this long. People have life decisions to make, that can't be made without knowing if they are accepted to this program. I'm beginning to get pretty annoyed.

If they know it's taking them longer, somebody could at least respond to an e-mail and give estimated timing. My follow-ups are completely ignored.

Hey all,

I still haven't heard either. I tried e-mailing and didn't hear anything but I just called and they said (very nicely!) that not all acceptances have gone out. As someone else mentioned, it is taking longer than usual because they received more applications than they were expecting. I am trying to be patient because really—a month turn around is still fast compared to other schools. A LOT of work went into meeting their requirements (a few extra classes & sending all supporting documents in one package) so I am eager to at least hear something—yay or nay.

I still need to take the Biology CLEP test and a Research Methods class which has been very hard to find. I am sure this makes me less competitive than those who have finished everything. Does anyone else have any outstanding work?

All the best!
