FNP Career track

I am interested in becoming a family nurse practitioner. I have a MBA and no science background. My last science class was in high school. I know that I first need to become a RN to enter into a masters program. What is the best path to take to reach my goal? Should I apply to a diploma, associate's, or bachelor's nursing program? I will take my prerequisites at a local community college, such as Housatonic or Norwalk. Any information would be appreciated.
