Hello,

I just got accepted into vinal tech lpn program starting in jan 2011. did anyone else get into the program?

If not, did anyone just graduate from the program? i need all the info i can get. This my first step to becoming an RN. happy!

so monday is the orientation. Did you guys buy all your books yet? Am waiting to see what books I need for the first semester before I buy...am excited..also did anybody hear from 2nd career change? Happy new yeat

I did get some of my books, maybe about 4 and the nurse med pack. Did you get your yet? I'm still trying to get more books, but little by little. I am getting excited about Monday too. I'm just worried about the finanical aid. I turned mine in but still haven't heard what I will owe for school. I never heard from 2nd career change. Do you have to wear school uniforms to plus clinical uniforms too? Did you order that yet. Let me know how everything is going for you. ttyl

I have my drug dosage book, the mental health book, and one more on the way right now, i also purchased the pack that they sent to the school. ugh this is so expensive,

the nursing pack the 250 package im buying right before school because someone is paying for it for me, so i know i have about one week to order and have it shipped. i thought these were for just this semester, these are all our books for the entire program? thats cool because that means no more money after this,:yeah:

im ordering my uniforms next week also, i know cutting it close but thats when ill get my money /i still haven't heard about my financial aide either

does anyone know if we have to wear the uniforms in school or only on clinical? if not i know what question im asking on Monday!!:)

I also got the drug dosage book, mental health, and nursing leadership book. Eventhough you ordered the big package, you still gotta pay for the shipping too. That is why im waiting to get that package just in case i have to order the other books I could not get online cheaper there so that the shipping would just be one cost.

Can someone please explain the major difference in international and us edition books?? I know that they say that the information is most of the time the same, so how do they get off selling it so cheap. I was considering buying a few of the international versions because they were cheaper than the us edition.:uhoh3: im going insane trying to get this in order for school to start in 19 days. My school in hartford has to wear both sets of uniforms. I am waiting till Monday to do that. ttys

I am glad that you all started preparing. The only thing i have so far is my physical and two books. caring for patients from different cultures and nursing leadership. I finanly got the money to get the rest of my stuff so i will be ordering most of my stuff on monday. The stuff is expensive. I will be paying out of pocket so am doing option three. good luck all.

Our schools must of set up things different for each school, I don't even remember seeing an optioN three in my packet. I'm sure hoping that when I go to the school monday, I will be able to get all my questions answered. Has anyone decided what they are going to do for work while in school? I'm trying to switch some hours at work but it might now work. I may have to find a different jobs to suit the hours I need. I have two kids at home too so working after school would not cut it for me. Also my packet never said anything about when they offered cpr, did anyone receive info in there packet? Okay gotta get ready for work. Ttyl

hello Toni, my school is vinal. We have three different payment options. The first option you have to pay 3400 monday. Second you pay 1300 monday and third option you pay 700 per month. I didn't get cpr info so I have to do that on my own. I just started working at a nursing home as a cna to get my foot in the door. I will work two weekdays and every other weekend. If that's too much I will cut it down when school starts.

yes lots of information today. I just got my info today about the payment plan. We dont get to chose though. According to what finiancial aid gives us, that is what plan we have to go by. I have to do plan three too. I just have to order my uniforms and get the rest of my books so that i can be ready for school. I just cant wait for it to start.
