Great advice! Can you give me specifics on the books that you used to practice with so I can look them up on Amazon?

I personally love my saunders nclex-pn review book 4th edition by linda silvestri and pearsons nclex-pn review book. sometimes i wonder if they are constructing their cirriculum around those books, because i swear when i am taking the exam it seems as if some of the questions are word for word.

Anyway i am at the library study for my maternity test which is tomorrow

take care...

By the way if u dont mind me asking which one of the schools are u planning to apply to?

we used the net and we had to register through eri their website is www.eriworld.com the cost last year was $68.00 but just like everything the cost could increased. in my opinion the test was pretty basic, but if you think you need to review they have a study guide that you can purchase from them or u can just study basic math, english, and science on your own in my opinion it was the same stuff we used to do in 5th grade nothing complicated.

if you have any other questions that you think i can help you with please ask.

c/o 2010 (hopefully:d)

sorry people but i gave incorrect information. the test that the ct tech schools are using for the lpn program this year is the teas... not the net i guess they are changing a lot of stuff..

the cost again is $50.00 and not $68.00 here is a link with all the information that you will need....

TEAS??? since when???? Last year they used the NET. I have been watching the tech website but they haven't posted the test yet....How did you find this out???

Oh darn! I just checked the website and IT IS listed and IT IS the TEAS! I think that is much harder, isn't it????

to be honest with you ctpctstudent i do not know if the teas is harder because i have never taken it. however i heard through the lpn grapevine (one of my instructors) was that the reason why they are using the teas this year is because it will make the whole transition of being a lpn -rn much easier if students choose to. for example: if wanted to go into the rn program and have never taken the teas i would have to take it despite the fact i would not be starting from scratch. but if someone who have taken the teas to get into the lpn program would not have to take the teas to get into the rn program. but i think it can be done.

please do not loose hope and please keep up your confidence you can do this, you just have to figure out how you will.

let us know how it is going for you and if i can help you in any way

and remember to keep on smiling:d

I haven't taken the TEAS, but I do know there is science questions on their exam.

Hey all,

Get a book from the library, do practice test on the computer... oh and the library has something called library express which has practice test for free.

Gotta go, more reading...

Regi

It has been many many years since I had A&P and won't get to do those two classes until after I have already had to take the TEAS and turn it in for the LPN school application. So that I why I am worried about it. I already had the TEAS study guide so I am going to get started on that. I understand that they figure you won't have to take it for RN school after LPN school, but I think my grade on it would be higher after LPN school and WOULD want to take it then...

Miss talking with you Regi! Sandy
