CNA Part time w/benefits???

  1. Hi, currently a cna (starting LPN school on Monday) looking for a part time cna position on weekends. Anyone know of facilities who will give medical benefits to part time employees??
If so, how many hours do you have to work?? Thanks

A lot of hospitals offer 20+ hour employees benefits, but they (the hospital) pay less so you end up paying more than you would if you were full-time.

St vincents' hospital offers benefits to part time employees, but you must work at least 20 hours. As a CNA, you have to work 24 hours, since the shift you will hire to work would be 8-hour shifts, so you will have to work at least 24 hours in order to get benefits.

My friend works for Maxim Healthcare and she works 32 hours and gets benefits...i guess you could do 2 doubles on the weekends?
