Okay,

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today!!

I was going totally mental with anxiety, checking this board several times a day to see when people were hearing back, compared to when they had applied and what their stats were. I was also very nervous about how I had done on the TEAS, so I wanted to post my info to help other people a little. Here are my stats:

I applied to the school January 4th, 2010. I took the TEAS January 23rd, 2010.

Previous BA degree in anthropology. I graduate in August of 2009 with a 3.46 cumulative GPA.

I took A&P I last fall, at Gateway: B

Developmental Psych: A

TEAS: 81.2% (mean national was 72.8% and the mean for the program 73.3%)

My adjusted individual scores were as follows:

Reading: 82.5%

Math: 82.2%

Science: 70%

English: 85.5%

In all my nervousness, I called two days ago and was told that I would likely hear back from the in school 4-6 weeks. Then I got my letter today, February 5th. For the record, my admissions essay was based on a CNA training course I took in the fall and I also think that having a previous BA really helped, especially in seeing past that nasty 70% in the science section of the TEAS.

Good luck and I hope this information was helpful, or at least of interest, to some of you!!

not yet, i'm going to once i get enough money, i was unaware we would need that much up front! i work non-profit, so its tough but I will be buying the package since it seems to be the best deal.

Just wondering what book our first reading assignment will be out of and what is expected of us to read. I am going on vacation and wanted to start my reading. Any advice ir recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

just a quick question...anyone know how many applicants there were and how many are enrolled for the semester for the level 1 students?

I'm so excited for you guys! I was in the same boat last year. See you all in the Fall.

I only know that about 120 are enrolled for level I...Good luck

I didn't buy the book package, I went to Amazon and bought them individually. I bought used and got them for more than half the price in some instances.

And WOOT to us!!! I am so excited I can hardly wait to start classes.

Hey anyone in here starting in September please join "Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing Fall 2011 Entry" group on Facebook as well. =)

I am and I just did. Is anyone as nervous as I am?

I am nervous yet excited. I dont see you in the group so far it's only myself and another girl in there. Did you type the group name exactly as it is above? I can't wait to meet everyone.

Request sent!!

Hi everyone,

I just joined this site today. I have been reading everyones input on Bpts school of nursing and it is making me very nervous. I plan on applying within the next couple weeks for the fall 2012 semester. My grades are decent and gpa is a 3.28, all of my science and psych requirements are already completed and my reccomendations are very good. I also will have a BA in public health from SCSU in the spring. With all that being said, I took the TEAS V test last January and scored extremly poorly. I am an awful test taker and studied for weeks and still only got a 68.7 %. I was wondering if I should even bother still appplying and how much Bpt weighs on the TEAS scores? And advice would be awesome, thanks!

Apply. Apply to every program you can it's better to have choices than regrets. I thought the scoring was different for TEAS V than TEAS IV so don't compare your score to a previous version.
