Hey everybody,

That time of year is coming soon... Anyone else out there applying to BHSN this fall?

Best of luck to all!

Awesome, Congrats!!

Congrats Pre-nursingstudent, and everyone else that has been accepted into the fall program for 2012--- I got my acceptance letter a few days ago as well :) I've been reading everyone's posts for months...Feeling so blessed right now, and for those still waiting and not posting cause you're too nervous like me, stay positive. Best of luck to you all...

Congrats joney:w00t:

Does anyone know if CLEP courses are transferable to bhsn? I haven't taken sociology yet and would really like to clep it if I could, would save me a lot of money and time.

Hello everyone! I just got my letter saying I was waitlisted wondering if anyone knows if you even get in on the waitlist or am I waiting on false hope?

Nursing4811,

From what I've read in previous posts, people HAVE gotten in that were waitlisted--so don't give up!

Hi everyone! I got my acceptance letter for BHSN last week! Looking forward to meeting some of you soonish. I know they said they send out orientation packets in May, does anyone have any idea for when they actually have orientation?

So I went to see my advisor(nursing) at nvcc yesterday and I think she talked me into going to nvcc if I get accepted. My major decision maker is that I have 5 school age children who need to catch the bus. My oldest is 13 and will be catching the bus at 6:30, my other four catch the bus much later. At bhsn every class starts early(evening classes are not an option) so I would have to find them morning child care(not having luck with that) or a babysitter for almost everyday of the week. At nvcc only two days a week I would have to find them child care, the other two days would start at 11. Also, a four of the classes are OLCR(online with campus requirement) or hybrid, and the times I would have to go in are during the day. It just seems like a better fit for my life right now. I really want to go to bhsn, but nvcc seems like the more wise choice and less stressful for me, Lord knows I won't need extra stress, lol. I should know next week, I'll keep you all updated:)

At BHSN class usually starts at 8:30AM, clinical days usually start at 7:30AM. There are only 2 or 3 clinical days that are early ~6:45AM.

Three of my kids do not get on the bus till 8:35, so that means everyday of class/clinical I would have to find them a sitter or daycare. At least at nvcc I would only have to worry about two days and half the classes I can take online.

That's tough, I have 2 kids that we need to off to school, so I can only imagine caring for five... I hope NVCC works out for you. I also applied there, but BHSN was my first choice, so I'm so thankful I got in. Not sure if you were part of the other conversation about the temp feature where you could view your status on commnet, but it looks like I'm waitlisted (thank goodness I didn't put all my eggs in one basket!). Best of luck to you, I'm really hoping you get in!!!
