Has anyone applied to St. Vincent's for Fall 09 nursing

Keeping my fingers crossed... still waiting for my acceptance letter!

I had to email them last week to find out, and I was accepted into the Nursing program... for Fall of 2010 but am on the wait list '09. Received my letter earlier this week. I will just take my Gen. Ed courses until then. I still have to fulfill the Biology and Chemistry courses. SCSU's biology is booked up? Any suggestions?

I GOT ACCEPTED!!! woo hooo! Finally got my letter in the mail, such a relief! I got accepted into the extended program, but I have a lot of courses that I took at SCSU.. so I have to see if those will transfer! Anyone else starting this fall??

CTGuy - Have you looked at Gateway CC for their Bio and Chem?! I don't know where you are located, but I think any of the community colleges offer them this summer.

Quick question --

For those of you who have been accepted for fall 09.. are you CPR certified?? Do we have to hold a certification for when we start in the fall?

I have to start looking! I live in the Westbrook area.. anyone know of any programs?

The Red Cross in New Haven holds CPR and other classes regularly. Also, you might want to call Westbrook Ambulance (but not 911!) and ask if they know of any in the area.

I have a question for all those who have been accepted. What was your G.P.A? I am waiting to hear from St. Vincent as well!

I got accepted into the evening program.. starting in the fall, im so excited!! I have to take the anatomy and phys placement test tho.. did ne one take this exam? If so is it really hard?

I too have to take the A&P competency exam! Did you take it yet mz1985? I was planning to just retake A&P this fall at St. V's, but I didn't realize that is what determined when I start nursing courses. I really do not want to wait a whole year! I have to call them to schedule the comp exam for july 27th. I am soo nervous! I took anat and phys about 3 years ago. If you took it mz.. what did you think of it? If not.. maybe I'll see you on the 27th!
