I guess I can't use first and last names on this post, it's the admissions secretary that you need to call or email,.

Hi! I was accepted to the St. Vincent's Extended Program for Fall 2009 too! I am so excited! I actually teared-up when I received the acceptance letter!! Now, I'm nervous; I hear it's tough. I am finishing up some core classes at HCC this semester and have managed to maintain a 4.00 GPA there but I think St. V's is a whole new playing field. I work full-time and can't quit my job so part-time is my plan at this point. Good Luck!!!!!!! Hope to see you there!

CONGRATZ !!!!! Starbrite07 I have been accepted into the extended program also, I can't wait. What courses are you taking at HCC? I took all of my prereq's there too!!!! chemistry was a killer- the teacher and I weren't a good fit, but I still managed a B. We'll have to keep each other updated on teachers- are you taking A&PI in the fall?

Hi milfordmama,

I have taken Algebra, English 101, Psychology, and now I'm in Biology and Chemistry at the same time. Ugh! I have no choice though since I have to have both completed for SVC. I really don't like Chemistry...at all! I love Biology though. Both my teachers are really good, I'm just not digging Chemistry. I am somehow maintaining a really good GPA but I don't have much fun right now. All I do is study and work. I am really excited to be moving on to SVC in the fall. Yep, I am taking A&PI in the fall. Please lets keep each other updated; it's nice going into this knowing that other people are going through the same.

Starbrite07- I'm thinking about taking Ethics at St.v's this summer. It would lighten my work load for the fall and I think that since it is not a science or math course that I could do OK in a condensed course over the summer. Will you be taking any courses this summer?

Yes, I plan on taking a summer course too. I was leaning toward Sociology or Psychology 112?? I'm not sure which one... Maybe I'll look into the Ethics too!

Just got letter informing me that I need to take the Accuplacer Placement Test. I'm wondering if they checked my transcript from college that shows I took two courses in English, Stats and Calc II, of course this was about 7 years ago. Anyone have any experience regarding the test? Is this a good or bad thing for admissions?

Hi everyone! I am still waiting to hear back about my acceptance! I mailed my application in a few weeks ago.. I have contacted the admissions secretary, and she said my application was received and is complete, so I should be hearing in 2 weeks!! I am so nervous.. I hope that I get in!!

Have any of you attended the information sessions?? Was it beneficial to you? I am considering attending one of the next few coming up.. there is one in June I believe.

Good luck to those who are still waiting!! and Congrats to those who have been accepted!!
