Milan.net??

by perfectbluebuildings Premium Member

Wondering, why sometimes today when I reply to a post, a box comes up asking me to put in a password for milan.net? Another poster is mentioning the same issues and it's only on this site. I hit "close" and it's all good, but just not sure what it is. Do you all know what it might be? Thanks...

I'm having the same problems. It just opens up on this site, and only sometimes.

www.millan.net is a smiley site.

Some members use the site to link to the free smileys they provide. I have a feeling Millan's link to the smiley that they provide tries to get the browser to access their password-protected member only features.

I've never used this site at all, though- just the "smileys" available through allnurses.

But, since I posted this I've not had any more problems.

Thanks!!

This happened to me a few days ago too . . . glad to know there is an explanation because my dd and I are the only ones who use this computer and neither of us use smileys from there. Or anywhere actually - except I do use the ones on allnurses. :angel2:

Don't have to personally use smileys from them - even if someone else uses them, it causes an issue.

I'm getting that same millan.net popup today, all of a sudden. . . . . twice so far in 10 min.

Sounds like a possible spyware issue.

My spyware blocker has been going crazy since people started using those smileys here.
