    So I went through the whole application process for the accelerated nursing program at UCCS and was told that I am an alternative. I know only 24 people get in each year so I feel it is unlikely that I will still get in. Has anyone been an alternative and got into this program? It is unfortunately the only program I applied to this year so this is eating me up inside. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

    Hope you can keep your spirits up. I volunteer in a Surgical ICU and several of the nurses told me they were originally selected as an alternate for their program but still got in for the semester in which they applied. One nurse told me she got accepted the week classes started. Good luck!
