UCCS accelerated BSN alternative

So I went through the whole application process for the accelerated nursing program at UCCS and was told that I am an alternative. I know only 24 people get in each year so I feel it is unlikely that I will still get in. Has anyone been an alternative and got into this program? It is unfortunately the only program I applied to this year so this is eating me up inside. Any advice would be great. Thank you.
