    Your school should be arranging this for your with their clinical placement coordinator talking to a hospital educational placement person. Facilities (and schools) look down on students attempting to arrange their own placements.

    My experience was the schools have more a problem with it than the hospitals, provided you go through the proper channels at the hospital. The education coordinator at Children's encouraged us to apply for practicums there and my school refused to let us do it.
