Louie Croft Boyd was a passionate and dedicated nurse and nursing educator. She was head of nursing at Denver General Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Rio Grande Hospital and elsewhere. In 1904, she joined other nurses to organize the Trained Nurses Association of Denver, now the Colorado Nurses Association. Boyd became the association's first lobbyist and first licensed nurse in Colorado. She carried Colorado registered nurse license number one until her death in 1951.

Wasn't that the name I said? Guess I was right.
