Congrats!!!

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at interviews, but I've had a few and no job offers.

Thank you!!

I am sure you're not doing anything wrong, you were selected to interview for a reason! You still have an interview next week for Memorial, right? I know it's tough, but keep your head up! Good luck!!

No, I wasn't contacted to interview for the non-ER program. I think people got interviewed for one or the other... not both.

After much nail biting, I chose my top two choices: ICU and Cardiac 45. I know ICU will hire new graduates, not so sure about cardiac. Hopefully I haven't shut myself out.

Thank you whichone'spink!

How did you find out which units were hiring?

I've done nearly all of my clinicals at Memorial, and I find out these things by observation and by asking around. The med-surg floors hire the most new grads of course.

How was the interview fair?!

Also, has anyone that received the "informal" offer last week over the phone for the ER Nurse Resident position receive the "formal" offer yet?

Interview fair took a looonng time. I waited 3 hours from the time I came in to interview two managers. The interviews themselves were only 45 minutes total. One was representing all of acute care, and the other was for ICU. I also asked to interview with the manager of Surgical-Trauma, but she left. Now I'm just waiting for a one-on-one. I don't think that will happen, because she interviewed a lot of people. As did all the other managers present. I estimated at least 100 people were there, and there are 20 slots for new grads in this round.

I hope I made a good impression on the ICU manager, well actually the educator came in her place. I hope I made a good impression all around.

Now to wait for that damn ATT.

I heard the interview fair had a long wait! Good luck to everyone that interviewed, I can't wait to start with those who were selected on July 30th! :nurse:
