    Are any of you ER Nurses allowed to work 8 or 10 hour shifts in the Denver area? Or do all the Hospitals just staff 12 hr shifts in this region?

    All the ER nurses I know in Denver or the suburbs work 12 hours. All the hospitals in town I know of work 12s. Sorry you got no responses but you asked for ER nurses and I haven't seen many local ER nurses posting in the CO forum. Maybe call the local hospitals and ask if they have a need for an 8 or 10 hour shift nurse? If you have experience the recruiters are happy to talk to you. Good luck!

    We have 8's in our ER. 7a-3p. That shift goes to the top 3 in seniority though.... not sure how much that helps you.
