by LuckyKelleyK Jan 22, '09I am trying to pick a stethoscope for nursing school, and I wanted to see which steth most students have. Also, are you allowed to have a a steth with a single head, or do you have to have one with a bell? Thanks!

- Jan 24, '09 by Penny_nickel_dimeYou will want to get a nice stethoscope! Most students get a Littmann brand stethoscope. You will also need one with a diaphragm and bell for your first quarter. You will start during that quarter listening to both high and low frequency sounds! Hope this helps!LuckyKelleyK likes this.
- Jan 25, '09 by LuckyKelleyKThanks for the info! So even if I get a stethoscope like a littman master classic II (with a tunable diaphram for high and low frequency sounds) that won't cut it for the first quarter? Thats a bummer!
- Jan 25, '09 by Penny_nickel_dimeI think you will be fine with that stethoscope because you can can hear both. The only problems I knew about were of students that got a cheap stethoscope that they could not hear both on!LuckyKelleyK likes this.
