Hi all!

Has anyone gone through Denver Health's New Graduate Program? Or any opinions/feedback about their new graduate training? I am very interested in this hospital!

Hi all!

Has anyone gone through Denver Health's New Graduate Program? Or any opinions/feedback about their new graduate training? I am very interested in this hospital!

Hi,

I've also been trying to find information on this in hopes to apply for November or July (depending on when the deadlines are) Have you heard anything or found out anything??

I know that the New Grad program they were acceptin apps for a month back was canceled....

Hey! Yeah, when I noticed my application status as "On Hold" I figured something happened with the program. Unfortunately when I talked to a few of the nurse recruiters they seemed to have no idea what is or was going on with the program. I guess our only shot is to apply to regular positions there. The recruiters said they are not sure when it will open again.

Does anyone have any tips on getting hired there? If so, that would be greatly appreciated!

Did the Denver Health RN New Grad open again?

Does anyone know if Denver Health will hire before NCLEX is taken? I noticed they had a couple positions that will consider new grads, just wondered if I should wait? P/SL recruiter told me to wait to apply for their positions until after I pass boards. Just wondering if DH is the same :)

Cehearn1,

I am not 100% sure if you have to wait until you take NCLEX, however when I was applying to a few positions prior to being able to type in my RN license number on my application, my application status would instantly change to "Not Selected". When I talked to HR about it, they said I wouldn't be considered until I had my license #. Things may have changed though...

Thanks! I've been thinking of just waiting to apply anywhere, it should only be a couple more weeks (granted that I pass!) I'm just getting excited :)

Good luck cehearn1!!

Thank you, from the sounds of it new grads need all the luck they can get!! Have you found anything yet?

Yeah, it's really tough to get a job in Colorado, even for those who went to school here. I went to school in California and tested in California. So, when I moved out here it took me awhile to get my CO license. Once I had my license # it took me about 2 1/2 months to find a job, however for some, it has taken a lot longer. I feel very fortunate to have found a job that quick.

How long after working were you able to have weekends off?
