Children's Hospital Colorado Nurse Residency Program August 2013

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

I didn't find another topic relating to the new grad RN program for Children's Hospital Colorado, so I decided to start a thread.

Anyone else apply for the August cohort?

I live in San Diego right now, but have visited Denver a handful of times and really love it out there. I dont know too much about Children's CO, so if anyone would like to share any advice or info I would love to hear it!

So maybe we are still in the game, sunshinelu86?! (I hope so!) They said they only had 2 ED spots open... It makes me nervous knowing that folks are already being called with offers... They told me they had 38 spots open total & I know they started calling folks on Friday... Seems they should be done by now. Keep staring at my phone every 2 seconds and willing it to RING! Haha.

Lets keeps each other posted... Good luck! :)

If you have the hiring manager's contact info, why not follow up with the person to find out?

Thanks Roborn... Already did that. Waiting for a reply.

Sassy29RN who did you contact? I called this morning too and talked to Donnya. She told me that she was leaving it up to the units to call their candidates and that's why the timeline is strange.

I was offered a position on Oncology too! I am from Colorado, but also looking for a roommate. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in finding a roommate! I am super low key and easy going :)

Sunshinelu86, I emailed. The hiring manager actually called me today-- I got the job!! So excited.

I am from Cali too so all you Cali folks-- what do we need to do to get our CO license? I think its just a form & fee, right?

Congrats! Yes, the application+$43 goes to CO, and the verification rqst + $60 go to CA BRN.

Do you need a roommate? If so, pls email me and you can find my email address in the previous posts.

Theres a handful of us from Cali... I dont know about you, but I am in for a shock when we have an actual winter in CO!!

Cant wait to meet everyone!

Oh yay... So excited to have other Cali folks going too! We can all freeze together our first winter! Haha.

Roborn, I will need a roomie but only temporarily. My hubby will be joining me in CO as soon as he wraps up his old job. For now, I think I am just going to rent a room from someone for a couple of months.

For everyone who will be starting on Aug 6th with our cohort, thinking about setting up a private FBk page for us... I noticed the Children's CO March cohort (right before us) has a page for them & we could have one too-- easy way to communicate & to help each other... What do you guys think? (Did that in nursing school for our cohort & it was so great!) If you want to do it, let me know! :)

Thanks so much, Roborn. I will get right on it! Exciting! :)
